Drought Assistance Evaluation Survey
NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI), on behalf of NSW Government, is conducting an evaluation of the drought assistance measures available between July 2018 and June 2021.
This important feedback will help us measure the impact of the support measures on drought-affected communities and inform future drought policy measures.
The evaluation will focus on the outcomes delivered, how they were delivered, and an economic evaluation of the Farm Innovation Fund and the Emergency Drought Transport Subsidies.
If you were eligible for NSW Government Drought support between July 2018 and July 2021, we ask you to complete the survey below. The majority of landholders are considered eligible to complete the survey or provide feedback on the Package. This includes any landholders who had fee relief for Local Land Services (LLS) rates, the wild dog fence maintenance or bee keeping permit waivers. The survey also covers the fee relief for registration costs for agricultural vehicles, some fixed water charges, drought transport subsidies, interest rate waivers for Farm Innovation Fund loans, and the interest free period of the Drought Assistance loans (these elements were subject to the criteria of each program). Any personal information provided will remain confidential.
The survey will close on 10 March 2021.
Evaluating the recent drought assistance measures is an opportunity to get feedback from the community, determine value for money from Government investment, and improve service delivery.
Droughts are a part of the Australian landscape, so understanding how we can manage and prepare for droughts and support our rural community is essential to achieve stronger primary industries.
